Now Joachim Karkea is back with us with a new solo exhibition!
We are happy to once again show his popular watercolors.
Vernissage Saturday, April 10 at 12-16
The exhibition runs until April 25, 2021.
Joachim was born in 1983 and grew up in Junosuando in Tornedalen and that is where he lives and works today. He started painting at the age of 12. During the years 2007-2010 he studied art at Sunderby Art School.
For many people, Joachim Karkea became known through his participation in SVT’s Konstnärsdrömmen 2016. He has participated in many exhibitions over the years, both separate and group exhibitions, such as Liljevalch’s spring salon.
The motifs are usually landscapes to which he finds inspiration from nature and the silence that surrounds him. Joachim has been called “the Master of Light”.
“I like to work with the light in my pictures, and watercolor suits me best to make the smooth transitions from light to dark.”
Due to the current situation with Covid -19, the number of visitors in the gallery is limited to a maximum of 4 people at a time.
For those of you who feel insecure about visiting us, we offer the opportunity to book a private visit. Call or email us!
