Heike Thiede is our next exhibitor

In our next exhibition, which opens on Saturday May, 13, we present the artist Heike Thiede. The exhibition has been named “Särlingar” and we will see pictures and sculptures in different techniques. 

“They usually say that it’s good to be different. But how is that which is different seen – when it comes down to it?

If you google “being different” the first hit that comes up is a link from BRIS with crisis call numbers and posts that start with “I look at families in a new way, families with healthy children, look at them from the outside in a way which I didn’t do before because then I was part of them…”. Being different seems, if you look at Google, to trigger thoughts of loneliness, BRIS, crisis and illness. It is, I think, a shame and, indeed, even sick to make the immediate connection between different and wrong, bad or sick.

That’s why I’ve made a color cascade for exhibition as a tribute to all “särlingar”!

Vernissage weekend Saturday and Sunday May 13 and 14 at 12-16

On Saturday, the “Göteborgsvarvet” passes outside the gallery, which affects the accessibility.
The artist will be in the gallery both Saturday and Sunday.

The exhibition is shown until on May, 28.
