In our next exhibition, which opens on Saturday May, 13, we present the artist Heike Thiede. The exhibition has been named “S\u00e4rlingar” and we will see pictures and sculptures in different techniques.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThey usually say that it\u2019s good to be different. But how is that which is different seen \u2013 when it comes down to it?<\/em><\/p>\n

If you google \u201cbeing different\u201d the first hit that comes up is a link from BRIS with crisis call numbers and posts that start with \u201cI look at families in a new way, families with healthy children, look at them from the outside in a way which I didn\u2019t do before because then I was part of them\u2026\u201d. Being different seems, if you look at Google, to trigger thoughts of loneliness, BRIS, crisis and illness. It is, I think, a shame and, indeed, even sick to make the immediate connection between different and wrong, bad or sick.<\/em><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why I\u2019ve made a color cascade for exhibition as a tribute to all \u201cs\u00e4rlingar\u201d!<\/em><\/p>\n

And you? We are all, each and every one of us, a \u201cs\u00e4rling\u201d.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\/\u00a0Heike Thiede<\/a><\/p>\n

Vernissage weekend Saturday and Sunday May 13 and 14 at 12-16<\/h3>\n

On Saturday, the \u201cG\u00f6teborgsvarvet\u201d passes outside the gallery, which affects the accessibility.
\nThe artist will be in the gallery both Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n
